Educational and Administration Technology Services (EATS) is continually
growing to meet the needs of students and teachers throughout the
district. We continue to offer programs
for teachers to develop or enhance their skills and knowledge
of the Information
and Communication Technology Program of Studies . Our goal is
to provide exciting teaching strategies and tools for learning.
Edmonton Catholic Schools, Telus
Learning Connection Teacher Leaders offer
several sessions on-site to help teachers find safe web sites
based on the Alberta Curriculum. They also assist teachers
in developing Telecolaborative Projects and integrating technology
into the classroom.
The District Technology Integration Program continues
to be a successful program focusing
on technology integration in the classroom. This program has a teacher working on-site with
the teachers and students to develop curriculum-based projects.
It also models for teachers the methods of teaching within a lab
setting. Teacher developed templates
and web quests based on Alberta
curriculum are also available on the EATS
site for teachers to use
with their classes.
Information and support for the new web based Report Card and Individual Program Planner is available from Dan MacDonald and Shannon McElroy.
Staffs are encouraged to contact
Curricular Integration Services if they have any questions or
concerns regarding technology in the classroom.
