	The role of the Emerging Technology consultant is to provide leadership and support in the use of technology in education. More specifically, the goals of the “emTech” staff are as follows: To support curriculum consultants in the use of digital resources to support new curriculum expectations and the differentiation and personalization of instruction To support AISI consultants in their use of technology in their respective projects To support the implementation of Universal Design for all Learners To provide assistance and support in the use of Assistive Technology for Learning (ATL) To support the use of Web 2.0 tools by staff and students Promote teacher collaboration, particularly through the use of myECSD resources and structures To assist teachers in the use of Virtual Classrooms to promote the ability for students to access resources anywhere, anytime To collaborate with staff from IITS to ensure that there is coordination between the use of technology and the infrastructure to support that use To provide leadership and support in the development of district-wide implementation of digital citizenship strategies To provide information sessions on the use of technology to the members of District Strategic Leadership Council To provide training and support to District and school administrators in the use of educational technologies (the iLead Project)
