Change Through Professional
Learning Communities
The major goal for the Assessment for Learning Project in Edmonton
Catholic Schools is to help develop the capacity at the school and
district level to manage and implement change that enhances student
learning.
This project will help teachers and administrators collaboratively:
- deepen their understanding of why Assessment for Learning is changing
- develop a common base of knowledge of what works to enhance student
learning
- identify principles and mindshifts needed to implement the components
of assessment
- develop action plans that address student assessment and learning
- develop a strong understanding of planning, design, aligning, assessment,
curriculum and instruction
