- Establish a marketing plan to become recognized in the International Student marketplace.
- Network with Alberta Education
, Post Secondary, Community agencies in promoting
International Education.
- Participate in International Student Fairs
- A strategic plan has been developed that incorporates four aspects of International Education:
- International Students
Continue to provide support for International
students enrolled in our district. Develop and implement
a recruitment plan for International students and exchanges.
- English as a Second Language
Assist with the review of services for students with English
as a Second Language needs. Develop and implement a protocol
for providing support in our schools for ESL students. Assist
with developing strategies for supporting low literacy ESL students.
Provide assistance and support to AISI project.
- International Languages
Prepare for the mandate of second
language instruction. Assist with the development and support
of International languages programs in our district.
- International Professional Development
Create liaisons with agencies and organizations within the International and ESL communities.
Provide support for teacher training locally and internationally in second language instruction
practices.
