Registration Guidelines and Procedures

Edmonton Catholic Schools provides a Catholic education to resident students of the district, according to their educational requirements. Non-Catholics and other non-resident students may enroll at Edmonton Catholic Schools given the adequate availability of resources such as space and suitability of program. Contact individual schools for additional registration information.

Are you a resident of Edmonton Catholic Schools?

A resident student is a baptized Catholic or has at least one parent who is a baptized Catholic, or under the authority of the Child Welfare Act has been placed in a foster home where the foster parent is a resident of Edmonton Catholic Schools. Also, a resident must reside within the corporate limits of the City of Edmonton, be six years of age or older prior to March 1 or 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the current school year. In the case of a kindergarten student, is 5 years of age or older prior to March 1 of the current school year.

Students who do not meet the above conditions are considered non-resident students and may enroll at Edmonton Catholic Schools given the adequate availability of resources as determined by the principal and school district.

The registration data reflects your child's information as recorded on our official records. PLEASE VERIFY the information to ensure that it is correct. Add missing information or change incorrect information by using the boxes/spaces provided. Should you require any assistance please contact the school. A copy of the birth certificate, baptismal certificate, and/or other official documents should be supplied by new registrants for the confirmation of names, birthdates, resident status, etc., as per Alberta Education Regulations. Download the PDF registration form . Once the form is complete and the documents are gathered, please take the registration into the appropriate school.
